Agency Life

2008 — 2014

Started at Keller Crescent as a digital designer building websites and banner ads. Didn't have enough digital work to fill the day, so I started contributing to major campaigns — and my concepts started winning. Climbed from junior digital work to art directing national campaigns for Heaven Hill brands including PAMA, Burnett's Vodka, and Rittenhouse Rye.

Keller Crescent was a legendary Evansville agency — top 50 in the world in its heyday. I came in during the decline, watched the parent company get bought out and the agency reborn as 10over12 Creative. When that wound down too, I was the last creative standing — a whole floor of the building to myself.

Ellis Park Billboard Concepts

Conceptual billboard campaign for Ellis Park Racing. Each version riffs on real racehorse names. The visual is tied to the tag line beautifully, the horse name coming out of the mouth mid-yell, "Go Horse!" works both ways: you're cheering for your pick and losing your voice doing it.

At Berry Global, I designed a wide variety of packaging solutions, including custom sample kits, demonstration mock products that highlighted the company's capabilities, and production packaging for real retail products sold nationally.

2024 — Present

After nearly a decade in corporate creative, I stepped into the classroom — teaching computer science, broadcast production, and yearbook design at Evansville Christian High School. At the same time, I dove deep into AI and app development. That journey led to Bible Warden, a gamified mobile reading app built in Swift, and News Warden, a custom news aggregator highlighting clean front-end architecture. The art director learned to build.

A gamified Bible reading app for iOS — designed, branded, and built by me in Swift with Xcode and Claude. Streak tracking, XP progression, and Chapter Battles that quiz you before you move on. The goal: make daily reading addictive, not obligatory. Backend on Google Firestore, with a full brand identity and animated logo mark I'm particularly proud of.
